Tom Aikens - Lifestyle Management

The recipient of two coveted Michelin stars for his remarkable cooking talents by the time he was 26, Tom learnt his trade at such world famous restaurants as Tante Claire in London’s Kensington and Joël Robuchon in Paris.

Today Tom runs two highly successful restaurants and has recently published his first book, complete with two hundred stunning recipes.

I wouldn’t delegate anything to anyone if I didn’t believe that they could do it as well if not better than I could. When I deal with Lucy, my lifestyle manager at Ten, I know that she can get it done better and faster than I ever could because of their fantastic contacts and huge clout. What’s more, they are on call twentyfour hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The Ten team also includes experts in things like travel, cars and home improvements, which I confess I know very little about.

Alison Chow - Lifestyle Management

Alison came to London from Australia and set up the Coco Ribbon boutiques. She is currently extending their philosophy to create a global luxury brand. She loves to be in charge and, at work, she is. However, her apartment, her pride and joy, used to frustrate her. That was until she called Ten in to help.

I am getting loads of help with freeing up my time so that I can concentrate on my plans for the future. I don't know what I would do without you guys!

Kulvan - user, The Key

The Key - Kulvarn Atwal, Assistant Headteacher, London

Kulvarn wanted to know what other schools were doing in terms of formative assessment. He browsed a selection of articles and downloaded one which contained a number of case studies of how other schools are delivering Assessment for Learning and put together a detailed document for discussion with his headteacher. They now have an action plan to implement next term.

For me, having fresh information instantly available avoids reinventing the wheel.  It’s important to tap into what other schools are doing and you can benchmark your school against best practice in schools across the country.

Mike Watson

Mike Watson - Lifestyle Management

Mike is Managing Director and owner of Tube Tech International Ltd, a global leader in specialist industrial maintenance for the Oil industry and a major share holder in a 3D animation / Web optimisation / Media company.

Mike has been a Ten UK member for the past 6 months during which time the Ten UK team have assisted Mike in sourcing things from skilled trades people for home, pre-cut pumpkins for Halloween, arranged his daughters 16th birthday party, flights and many other services.

“My company, Tube Tech, prides itself on being able to ‘Clean the Impossible’ i.e. solving the worlds most difficult cleaning problems. Ten UK have proved their ability to ‘Source the Impossible’ on a number of occasions,” says Mike.

In Sept 2007 Mike and four colleagues were attending the huge Offshore Europe exhibition in Aberdeen. With over 1500 companies exhibiting and 30 000 people visiting the event there was apparently no accommodation to be had anywhere in Aberdeen or the surrounding area.

Our first night was spent in the most horrendous hotel, which we had booked ourselves and there was no way my team could have survived another night in those conditions,I explained our plight to Ten UK although I doubted they would be able to help as there was such a huge demand for accommodation in and around Aberdeen. Some how the Ten UK team managed to get all of us booked into a much better hotel – in the city centre. I have no idea how they managed this but all of us were extremely grateful as a good nights sleep was essential during such a busy exhibition.
